How to Play the Game
Screen Layout.

The game window shows all information you need to know about your character.

The screen design varies depending on your phone's resolution and the game client you are using.

The screen contains a map centred around your character. The blue and the red bar show your magical energy and hit points - however, in the high-res client they are only displayed during combat or while refilling. Also, there is a third green bar which is also only displayed during combat - as it shows your opponent's hit points.

The grid of nine squares shows the contents of your backpack. In the 10th square, the weapon your character is currently using is displayed. For players using the classic client, also your character's level, experience points and gold are shown in the bottom left corner. Please note that certain parts of the game window will change if you perform certain actions.
Players using the high-res client will get information concerning their character's level, experience points and gold on an extra screen by tapping on the appropriate button or selecting "Player Info" from the main menu.

 How to Play the Game
What are attributes, how to get and how to distribute them?

Every character has four attributes which can be set individually:

- Hitpoints (your life)

- Mana (your magical energy)

- Attack (your probability to hit and the ability to use certain weapons)

- Defence (your chance to dodge and the ability to wear certain equipment)

There is a base of 100 points for mana and hitpoints and 10 points for attack and defence for each character. Whenever your character advances one level, you get 3 attribute points which you can distribute yourself. Further, mana will automatically be raised by one for warriors and wizard's will gain automatically one attribute point for hitpoints with every level.

Although, you are free to distribute attribute points as you like, you are well advised to not spend them all on one attribute only. Make sure that you have enough attack and defence points, so you are able to use your weapon and armour. If your attack attribute is too low for the equipped weapon, it will be marked with a '*'. Note that your weapon will have a very low hit chance. If your defence attribute is too low you will not be able to wear more powerful equipment or dodge hits from stronger monsters.

To distribute your attribute points, go to Character Info in the Info menu and then select Attributes. At the bottom you can see how many points you have left. Select the attribute to which you want to add points. On top, you will find a small subscription of this attribute. Below you can choose whether you would like to raise your attribute by 1 or by 5 points at once.

Depending on your character's vocation, attribute points raise your mana and hitpoints differently. For every attribute point a warriors adds to the attribute hitpoints, he will receive 10 hitpoints, while a wizard will only receive 4 hitpoints for every attribute point. In return, a wizard's mana will be raised by 8 for every attribute point that is assigned to mana, while a warrior's mana will only be raised by 2 per attribute point.

Note that your attribute points will be distributed automatically if you have 12 or more points left once you log out of the game. This automatic distribution can be turned off directly in the attributes menu. Please keep in mind that your character will be very weak if you do not distribute its attributes.

What are skills, how to get and how to distribute them?

Skills give your character a special ability. Once your character has reached level 8, one skill point will be added with every level.

To distribute your skill points, go to Character Info in the Info menu and then select Skills. At the bottom you can see how many points you have left. You can now select between attack and defence skills if you are a warrior or between attack and heal skills if you are playing a wizard. Next a list of all available skills will be displayed. In the beginning, you will only be able to select the first skill in the list, as all other skills will only be unlocked if you have reached the maximum level of a certain previous skill. As long as a skill is unavailable it's picture will be marked with a lock.
If you click on a skill, a new menu will open up. You can now select between:

- Choose - activate this skill

- Raise - raise this skill by 1 point

- Maximize - raise this skill by the maximum available points; skills can be raised up to 5 points which will shorten the charging time of this skill

- Details - learn more about this skill

How to use skills?

To be able to use a skill to which you have already distributed skill points, you need to activate it. Characters can activate up to two skills at once, however, these two skills need to be of different skill-trees. To activate a skill, go to Character Info in the Info menu and then select Skills. Select the skill tree to which the skill belongs. There, select the skill you want to activate and then click on "Choose". The skill is now active.
Activated skills are displayed in the two lower corners of your game window. If you are using a touch-screen device, simply click on a skill to use it. Players using a key-based phone, need to press 'Use' + '*' or 'Use' + '#' to activate the according skill. A green progress bar will be displayed once you try to use the skill and the skill is fully charged. Once all charges of a skill are used, the skill needs to be charged newly. As long as the skill charges, it cannot be used and a red progress bar will be displayed.

 What are rerolls?

Rerolls allow you to distribute your character's attribute points or skills newly. If you reroll your skills, all your skills will be reset and you can distribute them according to your wishes. If you reroll your attributes, all attributes will be set to 0 and you can distribute them as well.

Every character begins the game with 6 free rerolls. Additional rerolls can be purchased at the Marketplace with Platinum. Note that attributes and skills share the same stock of rerolls.

You can choose whether you want the automatic distribution of attributes enabled or not. If it is disabled, the attributes will not be distributed automatically. But be aware of the fact that your character is very weak if you do not distribute your attribute points. If enabled and you have 12 or more undistributed attribute points left, make sure to distribute them before leaving the game. Otherwise they will be distributed automatically and you might have wasted one of your rerolls.

 How to Play the Game
Combat.

In TibiaME you will meet many dangerous creatures that will attack you without warning. To start combat move your character next to the creature you wish to fight. Now all you need to do is to push the directional keys in your opponent's direction and the fight will start.
Also, if an opponent attacks your character, you will defend yourself automatically. During combat the damage caused is displayed by little numbers appearing above your character's or the monster's head. The monster's life energy is indicated by a green bar next to your own character's hit points. If either of them is reduced to zero, the corresponding character will die.

After combat, your hit points will start regenerating, and so will your magical energy. Mana is needed to use magical weapons. Whenever you score a successful hit with such a weapon, the blue bar which indicates your mana will go down. If you run out of mana, your weapon will be useless until your mana is replenished.
Once you have defeated your foe, you will receive experience points (EP). Additionally, there is a possibility that you find a useful item and some gold that will be added to your gold counter. If you have gathered enough experience, your character will rise in level.

 How to Play the Game
How to use spells and spellbooks.

In the magical world of TibiaME, all characters have some magical talent and are able to cast spells. Wizards have of course much more magical potential than warriors, and are so able to learn much more spells and to use them more successfully. While warriors fight their enemies with a shiny weapon, wizards will cast powerful spells to defend their opponents.

To be able to cast a spell, you needs 2 things: a spell and a spellbook. Spells and spellbooks can be gained in various ways, e.g. some can be bought at NPCs, others can be received as quest reward.
Once you have learnt a spell and gained a spellbook, visit a spell shop - look for a wizard who is displaying a skull in his shop window. In the spell shop, a gifted wizard will transfer the spell to the spellbook using some magical energy. Whenever you "use" this spellbook now, you will cast the spell that is bound to this book, provided you have enough mana.
Note that every spellbook can hold only one spell. "Look" at your spellbook to find out which spell it contains.

You should visit Adurato on Lybera to learn your first healing spell and to receive your first spellbook for free. The wizard in the spell shop nearby will gladly transfer this spell to your brand-new spellbook. "Use" the spellbook to heal yourself whenever you are injured.

To chat with other players that are close by, tap the toggle button until you are in the chat console. Alternatively, you can press this button until a little menu opens up. There click on the speech bubble which will also bring you to the chat console. The black square is your message screen which will fill up with text once other characters start talking or messaging you. Beside the message screen, you will find 3 small icons which represent the 3 chat options:

1. Globe: In this chat, you can speak to other characters around you. Also, everything other characters and NPCs say and which has not been said in a private conversation, will be displayed in this channel. To talk in this channel, touch the message screen. Your keypad will open up together with a messaging line where you can enter text. After typing your message, click on "Send". Now everybody around you can read your message. To leave this chat, simply click on "Send" while the messaging line is empty.

2. House: This is the chat for private conversations. Here you can message other characters directly as long as they are online. Thereby it does not matter if the character stands close to you or on another island. Touch the black square to open up your keypad. Now enter the name of the character you would like to talk to in the messaging line. Click on "Continue" and an extra line will open up saying "With 'character name'". This way you can always see which character you are talking with. Now you can enter a message in the messaging line. Touch upon the "Send" button, to send your message to the other character. If you tap the extra line with the character name, it will disappear and you can enter another character name.
To leave this chat, simply click on "Send" or "Continue" while the messaging line is empty.

3. Flag: In this chat you can talk with all members of your guild. Whichever message you enter in this channel, can be read by all characters that are also members of your guild and that are currently online. To talk in this channel, touch the message screen. Your keypad will open up together with a messaging line where you can enter text. After typing your message, click on "Send". Now all members of your guild can read your message. Talking to inhabitants, buying and selling items.

 Talking to inhabitants:
You can talk to the friendly people living on all TibiaME islands. As a matter of fact we highly recommend doing so as TibiaME's inhabitants may give you important information which will help you to complete your character’s quests! You will recognise the inhabitants on their yellow coloured names, other players' names are displayed in green, boss monster names are coloured red. To talk to an inhabitant place your character next to him and move the directional keys in his direction. The TibiaME inhabitants are capable to talk to 4 adventurers at the same time. While talking, you have a limited set of answers to direct the conversation. Simply pick the answer that seems most appealing to you by using the directional keys, by pressing the corresponding numerical key or by touching upon the answer depending on the device you are playing on. You can end the conversation at any point of time by selecting "Farewell".

Buying and selling items:
In addition to the experience points and items you receive by killing monsters, you can also find gold in creatures. If you have gathered enough money, you can buy better equipment for your character. There are many interesting shops in the village where you can spend your hard-earned money. Also, the shop owners will buy the items that you have found during your adventures. To enter a shop move your character in the direction of the counter. A trade menu will open up which contains a detailed list of the items you can buy or sell in the shop you are currently visiting. By pressing the "OK/execute"-key or by touching an items from the list, the selected item will be bought or sold for the listed price. If you buy an item, you may choose where to place the item in your inventory by moving the cursor to the desired position or by touching upon the position. If you wish to sell an item, make sure that you have it in your inventory. You can leave the shop anytime by selecting "Leave" (Hotkey 0) from the menu or by pressing the "Cancel"-key.

 How to Play the Game
Safe Trade and Trade House

If you have found valuable loot that you do not need yourself, you can try to sell it to other characters. There are two safe ways to trade items for gold coins: the safe trade and the trade house.

Safe trade

To trade an item for gold with a character that is standing close to you, select "Safe Trade" from the "Info" menu under "Communication". There you can select if you like to "Buy" an item from another character, or "Sell" an item to another character.

Click on "Sell" and then on "New Offer" to sell an item. Select the item you like to sell. Afterwards a list of all characters near you will be displayed. Select the character to which you want to sell the item. Now enter the price for which you like to sell the item to the other character. The selected character will now receive the message that you have made a trade offer. As long as the deal has not been completed, you can cancel your offer by selecting "Cancel Offer" respectively by clicking on the item in the "Sell" list if you have a touch-based device.

To accept an offer made by another character for you, enter the "Safe Trade" under "Communication" and select "Buy". Click on "Select" to choose an item offered to you. Now you can decide whether you want to finalise the deal and "Buy" the offered item, or if you rather "Decline" the offer.

Trade house

Premium characters may offer 10 items via the trade house. Additional slots can be purchased at the Marketplace. As a VIP player you are also able to purchase these slots. The limit for all players is 20 simultaneous offers. Please note that as a free or VIP player you are not allowed to offer any items unless they have purchased some slots.

Trade houses can be found in every big city and are all linked with each other. Therefore, your offers can be seen in the trade houses of all cities. You can easily recognise a trade house by the stacks of gold on the counter.

Buying items:
To buy an item offered in the trade house, click on "Select" and choose one of the categories, e.g. select "Head Armour" if you are looking for a new helmet. Again click on "Select" to browse through the offers. If you find an item you like to buy, click on it and all offers containing this item will be displayed. "Select" the offer you like best. On the next page, you can look at the item's stats. If you still agree with the price, click on "Confirm" to finalise the deal. Note that the deal only takes place if you have got enough gold to pay the requested price and space in your backpack.

Selling items:
To sell an item in the trade house, click on "Sell" and select the item from your backpack that you would like to offer. Enter the price for which you want to sell the item. The price must be between 1 and 999,999,999 gold. Note that you have to pay a fee of 1% of the sale price but at least 5 gold for offering your item in the trade house. If you do not have enough gold to pay the fee, offering the item will fail. On the next page, check if you have selected the correct item and entered the correct price. If everything is as it should be, click on "Confirm". If nobody buys your offered item in the next 30 days, the item will be deleted. However, you can cancel the sale any time before this 30 days are over to avoid the deletion of this item.

To cancel an offer, select "Own offers" choose the offer you want to chancel and click on “Cancel” while being in the trade house. Note, that you will lose the fee you have paid for using the trade house when cancelling your offer.

Once one of your items has been sold, you will receive a letter.

Letters are a way of messaging players who are currently offline. However, of course it is also possible to send letters to players who are online. Every character can send and receive letters, but keep in mind that free and VIP players have only the capacity to store 10 letters. Premium players on the other hand can store 20 letters. All players can also purchase additional slots for up to 50 letters with Platinum at the Marketplace. Be aware that you will not be able to receive any more letters in case your inbox is full.

Sending letters:
In order to send a letter to another character, first enter the "Character Info" menu. Now select "Communication" from the menu, and then "Letters". Further, a small letter symbol will remind you that you have got mail. Under the menu point "Letters" you will now find a new entry containing the name of the sender and the date when the letter was sent.

- Key-based: If you have received a letter, you will also find the menu points "Read letter" to read messages you have received and "Delete letters" to remove a letter that you do not want to save any longer. Select "Read letter" and use the cursor to select the message you would like to read from the overview menu.

- Touch-based: Touch the message you would like to read from the overview menu. Now you can choose between "Read letter" to read the message you have received and "Delete letters" to remove a letter that you do not want to save any longer.

Note that you may also receive letters from the Marketplace containing purchased items. The letters cannot be deleted manually. The item will be transferred to your backpack once you read the letter and have one backpack slot free. Afterwards the letter will be deleted automatically.

 Travelling by ship.

 Travelling by ship:
Travelling by ship is the safest and fastest way to get around in TibiaME. Ships travel between all harbours of the larger islands. Some isles also have more than one harbour which makes it possible to get to the other end of an island in no time. To travel by ship position your character in front of a harbour building and move your character in the direction of the counter. A list with all reachable destination ports and the prices to get there will appear. Select "Travel" from the menu and then choose a destination harbour in order to start your journey.

 What is stamina?

Every player starts with 56 hours stamina. Only when you fight monsters, time is deducted from your stamina. If you chat or simply walk around, no time is deducted.

Gaining EP with different stamina:
56-54 hours -] +50% EP (Premium and VIP players only)
56-15 hours -] normal EP
14-00 hours -] 50% EP
00 hours -] no EP at all

Stamina regenerates while characters are logged out. For every 2 minutes you are offline (not logged into the game), your character will regain 1 minute of stamina. So you need to rest 2 hours to regain 1 hour of stamina. Please note, however, that stamina only starts to regenerate after you have been logged off for 10 minutes.

In the "Character Info" menu of your client you will find the menu point "Stamina" under "status", which shows you your current remaining stamina time. Here you can also learn if you are currently receiving a bonus or a deduction on the experience points you gain from killing monsters.

 What are achievements?

Achievements are extra goals that you can accomplish while playing TibiaME. You can use them to compare yourself with other characters without having to fight them. Achievements can be very simple things like joining a guild, travel for the first time by ship, collect a small amount of gold, or more difficult things like slaying a huge amount of monsters by using a certain damage type. Achievements are a great way to show others how successful you have played the game so far.

You can look up your own achievements in the "Info" menu under "Character Info". Select "Achievements" from the list to see either your "Finished" or "Unfinished" achievements. Click on "Finished" and "Info" to see which deeds you have already fulfilled and what exactly you have done to reach them. By clicking on "Unfinished" and "Info", you can find all achievements that are still available for your character and what it needs to do to earn them.

You can check out achievements of other characters by selecting it from the "Who is online?" list in the "Info" menu. If you "choose" a character there, you will be able to see some extra information about this character as well as the menu point achievements. You can also get this information by selecting a character from one of the "Rankings", however, achievements will only be displayed if the selected character is currently online.

 Guilds in TibiaME

If you are not a member of a guild, you can create your own. To do so, simply enter one of the guild houses and select "Found Guild". In order to create a guild you need to select a name for it. Please remember that the TibiaME rules apply to guild names as well, so be sure to select a legal name.

Note that your character needs to have the privilege to found a guild. Characters can unlock this privilege in the Marketplace permanently or receive it for the duration of their Premium Time. Keep in mind that the guild will not be disbanded in case the guild leader loses Premium status.

Once the guild has been created, you have access to the guild menu. You can now invite other players to join your guild, promote them to vice leaders or demote them as well as throw selected players out of the guild or disband the guild altogether. Note that you will have to invite at least 2 characters to your guild within the next 3 days after creation or the guild will be dissolved again.

As a vice leader you can invite other players to the guild as well, but you cannot kick members or delete the guild.

Guild members get bonus XP. If two players of one guild kill a monster together, each player will get a 10% bonus on his experience share of that monster. For example:

Player 1 and Player 2 are attacking a monster with 100 hit points. Player 1 deals 70 damage and Player 2 deals 30 damage.

- Player 1 will now get 70 XP + 7 XP bonus

- Player 2 will now get 30 XP + 3 XP bonus

How to Play the Game
What happens when my character dies?

It has finally happened. Just when you thought you would make it that orc turned up and cornered you... Well - take heart! In a world brimming with magic death is not the final word. You can continue the game with your character, even though you will lose experience. Simply end the game and select "Continue" to resurrect your character. Your character will then start at the nearest temple - a safe place which will give you the possibility to seek for new adventures.

To make a death less discouraging there are ways to reduce the experienced losses. The Life Insurance allows you to reduce your loss of experience points upon death by 50%, 80% or 100%. Once bought your Life Insurance is active until your character dies. After dying by the hands of one of the many monsters you have to renew your insurance. Every player starts with a Life Insurance of 100%, so the first death of your character will not reduce your experience points gained. Without protection your character loses 10% of its total experience points per death.

Every Premium character receives a Life Insurance of 50% for the duration of its Premium Time. The 50% Life Insurance is not used up after death as long as your character has Premium Time left. Note that you can also upgrade your protection to 80% or 100%, but your upgrade is used up after death and your Life Insurance is reset to 50% again.

VIP characters can purchase or upgrade Life Insurances at the Marketplace. Choose the protection you desire and upgrade it until your insurance reaches 100%.

Keep in mind that a Life Insurance cannot protect you from losing EP in PvP battles.

How to get more information about characters on my game world?

You can learn much more about other characters by selecting a character from the available character lists ingame. To do so enter the "Info" menu, and then select "Who is online?" or "Rankings" to reach either the Top 100 Players or the PvP Ranking. Either "Choose" a character or ask for "More Info" about a selected character to gain interesting information about it.
If a character is online you can find the following information about it:

- Vocation

- Level

- Online status

- PvP Rank

- Highscore Rank

- Guild

- Guild Rank

In addition you can select "Achievements" and "Kill Statistics" from the menu to learn which achievements this character has already earned and which and how many monsters it has defeated. These extra menu items as well as "Guild" and "Rank" are not available if you check a character that is offline in one of the rankings.

How to use the ingame forum.

TibiaME has an ingame forum which every player on your game world has access to. In order to read or post on the forum, open the "Info" menu. Select "Communication" and then "Forum" from the menu. You now see a list of the boards in the forum.

Once you have chosen a board, you will see all threads on that board. The newest threads are always on top. Scroll through the forum by pressing up or down. If you want to read a thread, click on it to open it. Please note that players below level 6 can only read the forum, but not post. Players with level 6 and above can both read and post on the forum. While you can open as many threads as you like with a premium character, you can only start one new thread per hour with a free character.

If you want to start your own thread, select "New Thread", enter a title for your thread and write the first post.

If you see posts that violate the TibiaME rules, please report them to support@tibiame.com, including the game world, board name, thread title, author and content of the post, so Customer Support can delete it.
