  <i>What is a PIN?</i>
</p>  
<p>
  The PIN is a 4-digit number. It is a security feature designed to protect your character from getting hacked. You need the PIN to change your password or recovery contact ingame. The PIN will be sent to you once you have set a recovery contact.

  <i>What is a recovery contact?</i>

<p>
  The recovery contact is an email address of your choice. It is needed to recover your password or PIN or to unlock your PIN. As soon as the recovery contact has been set for a character, a PIN will be sent there.

  <i>How can I set a recovery contact?</i>

  To set a recovery contact, access the info menu ingame. Select the option recovery contact and set an email address of your choice. Once the recovery contact has been set, a link with a confirmation code will be sent to the recovery contact. Click on the link to confirm your request. Once you have done this, you will receive an email with your PIN.<br/><br/>

<b>Important:</b> Once you have received your PIN, you will need it whenever you want to change your password or recovery contact ingame. So please keep your PIN secret at all costs.

  To change your recovery contact, you need to enter the ingame menu. After you have selected Recovery Contact, you are asked to enter your PIN. Simply follow the instructions and enter an email address as your new recovery contact.<br/>
Note that you will have to confirm your new recovery contact with the confirmation code that will be sent to your new recovery contact.

  <i>How can I change the password?</i>

  To change your password, enter the ingame menu. Select the option "Set Password". If you have set a recovery contact, you will be asked to enter your PIN first. Next you are asked to enter your old password. Once you have done so, you need to enter your new password. To make sure that you have typed your new password correctly, you are asked to repeat it. After you have successfully repeated your new password it becomes valid.

Enter your character name, world number and the email you have set as recovery contact. If your data matches, a link with a confirmation code will be sent to the recovery contact. Click on the link to confirm your request. Once you have done this, you will receive an email with your new password.<br/><br/>

If your data matches, a link with a confirmation code will be sent to the recovery contact. Click on the link to confirm your request. Once you have done this, your PIN will be unlocked.<br/><br/>

Please understand that you cannot unlock your PIN if you do not have access to the set recovery contact.
